This week…

IMAG0176A company called Sprinz has come up with this new reading method that blew my mind. Apparently it allows you to read faster by showing you each word at the pace you have set and in a position that is ideal to read it… I still am unsure though, I mean, I can see myself using this for reading a report for work or a piece of news from the paper but for a book? Usually when I am reading a book there are paragraphs I read fast and others where I like to linger and read slowly to take all the words in… Still, I found it very innovative!

Have a look at this amazing greenhouse, the roof has a ventilation flap that opens and closes to adjust the temperature inside, it is also totally out of my budget but hey, I can dream!

A table with a small garden in the middle, a beautiful green building, and a gorgeous fiddle leaf fig tree.

The song I just cannot get out of my head these days is Rather Be from Clean Bandith feat Jess Glyne, have you heard it? I don’t get tired of it!

Hope you’ve had a nice weekend… and that you start this new week with energy!

This week…

Small lettuces have started to sprout at the sweet onion’s pot. Remember we sown some lettuce seeds on the sweet onion pot at the very beginning? Since they did not appear on the first two weeks, we thought it hadn’t worked, that it was too cold outside for them to grow from seed. But apparently Sergi’s granddad was right, as he said with cold weather it just takes them longer to grow. They look nice sprouting randomly like that don’t you think?

This week I loved this illustration series called Archiset where barcelona-based artist Federico Babina draws the interiors of famous movies, I found specially funny the one from Star Wars.

You should check out this project called Type Rider II, where two poets will ride a tandem bicycle around US writing free poems and building Little Free Libraries to promote poetry and love of reading. Maybe you can help them with the funding, they have only nine days left to achieve their goal!

Do you know Apartment Therapy? It’s a great blog with amazing home tours, many crafts and lots of ideas for the home. For instance I liked this post Gardening Without a Garden: 10 Ideas for Your Patio or Balcony

Hope you have a nice week, mine looks like it’s gonna be quite busy!

I wasn’t very used to drink teas because here in Spain it’s not very typical, it’s more common drinking coffee, but these past years I have discovered how soothing it can be, specially in these cold months, to enjoy a steaming cup of tea. In consequence I have stocked up my kitchen with several varieties so when the other day I found this cute box I thought it would be great to organize them.

Some other things I want to share with you this week…

Wouldn’t you love to live in an apartment like this? This towers, called Bosco Verticale, are currently being built in Milano and are the first vertical forests in the world. What an inspiring solution to increase urban density and at the same time make cities greener.

The song I have been crazily dancing to this week is Happy by Pharell Williams, it cheers me up every time!

Hope you have an amazing week!
