Our very first harvest

So far in this blog I don’t stop taking about firsts. There was our first planting from seedlings bought at the garden centre, then the first seeds we sown on yoghurt pots,  we saw the lettuces sprout for the first time,  and the first lettuce sprouts we transplanted. It’s just that for us all this gardening and growing vegetables is brand new.

But maybe this first is precisely the most exciting one because, in the end, the reason behind all this fussing around in the balcony is precisely the satisfaction of, for the first time ever, be able to eat something we have grown ourselves.

And I can assure you, these are the best tasting, more rewarding spinach leaves I we have ever had!

Although we only had like a micro-salad to share because we were so afraid to over harvest the poor plants we just took some leaves and we’ll wait to see if the plant re-grows as it should!

Have you ever grown something yourself? Did it work?

Hope you had an amazing weekend!
